Industry Accreditation

Accreditation to the Industry Office is reserved exclusively to film industry professionals and those working within the artistic or technical activities of the audio-visual sector.
 
All requests for accreditation must include specific and up to date documentation concerning the professional activity.
Accreditation passes are issued at the full discretion of the Fondazione la Biennale di Venezia.
 
THE INDUSTRY OFFICE PROVIDES THREE KINDS OF ACCREDITATION:
Industry Gold, Industry Trade, and Industry Professional.
 
EARLY BIRD deadline: Wednesday 25th June 2014
 
 

(A)  Industry Gold Accreditation
Registration  300 Euro
Early bird registration (until 25th June 2014) *  250 Euro
 
* to benefit from the early bird fee and the Company listing in the Industry Guide you must make the online payment until and no later than Friday 1st  August 2014
 
The accreditation gives the following benefits:
- First priority admission to Press & Industry screenings of the festival;
- The possibility to see all selected films of the festival;
- The possibility to request tickets for public screenings that have no priority access for pass holders;
- Exclusive access to the Market Screenings;
- Exclusive access, with priority for Buyers, to the Digital Video Library, consisting of films from the official selection and Venice Film Market titles;
- Access to the Industry Club, reserved to producers, buyers and sales agents (ONLY GOLD);
- Access to the Industry Business Centre and the Exhibition Area;
- Access to conferences, networking sessions, cocktails and other activities organised by the VFM-Industry Office such as Final Cut in Venice and the European Gap-Financing Co-Production Market;
- Official catalogue of the festival;
- Digital Video Library Catalogue;
- Access to the online Digital Video Library Catalogue;
- Company listing in the Industry Guide;
- Access to the Online Industry Guide;
- Access to the Venice Film Market Platform;
- Complete programme of the VFM-Industry Office 2014;
- Wi-Fi and Internet access;
- Discount at shops, restaurants and services in the Movie Village and across the entire Lido island.

* Industry Gold  accreditation will only be granted to the persons who are in charge of acquisition, production, sales and are fully employed by the registered companies and to the Film Commission’s and Film Fund’s Head of Deparment.
The accreditation is valid for the entire duration of the festival.
 
On the occasion of the third edition of the Venice Film Market some screening rooms will be available to the exclusive access of the Market Screenings for all Industry Trade / Gold pass holders.
All producers and sales agents are welcomed to send to the office their titles before August 1st, 2014.
 
A special networking event will be organized between the international Sales Agents and the Independent Exhibitors of the CICAE during which your promo-reels will be shown to the Exhibitors and one-to-one meetings will be organized.
All sales agents are welcomed to send to the office those teasers and promo-reels before August 8th, 2014.
The whole VFM-Industry Office programme will be given to all Industry participants.
 
The Festival screening schedule will be published on the website by mid-August and in the programme manual, which you will receive upon arrival with your accreditation pass.
 
If for any reason you should be unable to attend, but have requested your accreditation before the deadline (25th June 2014) and paid for this in advance online, it will be possible to receive a 60 % refund. Your cancellation must be received before 1st  August 2014 and the Administrative Office of the Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia will deal with the refund. 
Accreditation requests received after 25th June or cancellations received after 1st  August cannot be refunded.
 
Locations and Services
On the occasion of the upcoming 71st  edition of the Venice Film Festival (27 August – 6 September 2014), the Venice Film Market will be located at the Excelsior Hotel with: the Exhibition Area (Expo Venice), Digital Video Library, Industry Business Centre, and Industry Club.
Furthermore Market Screenings will be organised to the exclusive access of all the Industry Trade/Gold participants.
 
All production companies and world sales agents accredited through the festival may submit titles to the Market Screenings (produced after January 1st, 2014) and to the Digital Video Library (produced after September 9th, 2013); all Industry Trade / Gold pass holders can access the Digital Video Library to view the titles from the official selection and submitted through the Venice Film Market, purchase an exhibition stall in the Exhibition Area (in case that this service is acquired, Industry Trade / Gold accreditation will be issued at the reduced price of 200 € - Gold  / 150 € - Trade); organise a conference; arrange a cocktail or round table to present projects or the activities of their company; display promotional material at the Industry locations; purchase signposting spaces, buy slots for trailers shown  on tv screens laid in the industry locations or place brochure,  gadgets, flyers or notebooks into the Industry bags handed to all Industry participants; and buy advertising pages in the Industry Guide and DVL Catalogue.

The screening schedule will be published on the website from mid-August and in the programme guide, which you will receive upon arrival with your accreditation pass.
 
 
APPLICATIONS
It is necessary to send the request until and no later than Wednesday 25th June 2014.
This also needs to include:
· INDUSTRY TRADE / GOLD accreditation request with up-to-date documentation of cinematographic activity of the company *
· INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL accreditation request with up-to-date documentation of the film activity of the company or a CV in case of a single professional from the artistic and technical sector.
 
* Law Firms must send in attachment a letter by the cinematographic company attesting that the firm represents the legal activities of the cinematographic company.
 
The Accreditation Office will evaluate all requests. If your application has been successful, you will receive a communication with the relevant access codes to the online modules.
These must be completed and returned online to the office by and no later than Tuesday 29th July 2014.
The company data of all Industry Trade / Gold participants who made the online payment until and no later than Friday 1st August 2014, will be published in the Industry Guide.
 
Accreditation passes are strictly personal and must to be collected in person from the Industry Accreditation desk, presenting the same ID as used in the accreditation form as well as a copy of the registration confirmation.
 
Only requests respecting this registration method, and with the necessary documentation, will be taken into consideration.
The kind of accreditation pass and the numbers to be issued are at the full discretion of the Fondazione la Biennale di Venezia.
