The final appointment with Friday in Venice, the meetings coordinated by the German writer and cultural advisor Michael Schindhelm focused on the near future of some of the most debated subjects of European politics, will take place at the Corderie of the Arsenale on August 15th and 16th, stage E.

Friday in Venice is an interactive project which started in May at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, and consists of a book publication, a website (www.lavapolis.com), an installation and performances all dedicated to a collective reflection on the political and social status of Europe and Italy. The project will involve architects, designers, actors, writers, students and online and offline audiences from various countries. The 14th International Architecture Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia will become its major platform of exchange.

The Weekend Specials program, conceived as part of the exhibition Monditalia, will be programmed by different contributors, often the same as those in the permanent exhibition, and it will unfold in diverse formats: documentaries, workshops, lectures, debates, shows and performances, in the Arsenale’s Corderie. Weekend Specials animates the Arsenale on weekends, as counterpart to the program Freeport; both essential part of the Meetings on Architecture, organized by la Biennale di Venezia.

The extended calendar of all the meetings happening during the six months of the Exhibition is available at www.labiennale.org/en/calendar/.
