The project stages the Commentary on John by Meister Eckhart (1260-1328) featuring the actors Federica Fracassi, Leda Kreider, and Dario Aita together with the Coro della Cappella Marciana conducted by Marco Gemmani. The dramaturgy and direction are by Antonello Pocetti and the stage concept by Antonino Viola; the video images are designed by Andrew Quinn and the sound projection by Thierry Coduys.
Staged in the Portego delle Colonne of the Scuola Grande di San Marco, the atrium of the monumental 16th-century complex that today hosts the Ospedale Civile SS. Giovanni e Paolo.
The performance will be introduced by theologian, writer and poet Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, who was appointed prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See in 2022.
