The 75th Venice International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale di Venezia, and took place at Venice Lido from August 29th to September 8th, 2018. The Festival is officially recognised by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association).
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote international cinema in all its forms as art, entertainment and as an industry, in a spirit of freedom and dialogue. The Festival also organises retrospectives and tributes to major figures as a contribution towards a better understanding of the history of cinema.

From August 27 to September 16, the Hotel des Bains at the Lido di Venezia hosts the exhibition curated by Alberto Barbera with the Historical Archives of La Biennale di Venezia.
Third edition of the initiative which focuses on the presentation and exchange of original projects for films and works in progress, so as to foster their development and production.
The 3-day Venice Gap-Financing Market event will present projects from around the world in the final stages of development and funding.
A concrete assistance in the completion of films from African countries and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria.
The Venice Film Festival was established in 1932 and is celebrating its 75th edition in 2018.
