Synopsis

A portrayal of the life of five prostitutes employed in the brothel located in the restricted district of Yoshiwara, Tokyo. Each has her own reason for her life; Yumeko, a widower dreaming of living with her son. Hanae earns her family’s living, substituting her bedridden husband. Yasumi entered her way to pay the bail of her father who is a corrupted bureaucrat; Yorie’s only dream is to become a happy housewife and Mickey joins the district in allusion to her prodigal father.
The ensemble effectively express the strength and the struggle of each characters.
