Sala Web theatre
Following the successful experience of the past eight years, the Web Theatre returns to the 77th Venice International Film Festival with a selection of films from the sections Orizzonti, Out of Competition and Biennale College Cinema, with a limited capacity for each screening. The films will be streamed simultaneously with the official presentations of the films on the Lido.
This is a special opportunity for audiences around the world to discover the auteurs and films at the Venice Film Festival that represent the most innovative aesthetic and expressive trends in international cinema, made by both young talents and established directors.
The screenings, held on behalf of the Venice Film Festival, will be available for the international community on the secure website managed by Festival Scope (www.festivalscope.com), whereas the screening for viewers geo-localized within the territory of Italy will be available on MYmovies.it and Repubblica.it on the website www.mymovies.it/biennalecinema/.
For films screened internationally, digital tickets may be purchased during the month of August on the website of the Biennale www.labiennale.org and on the website www.festivalscope.com. In order to view the film of choice, the user must first register and pay for the individual ticket (€ 5). Each film (in the original language version with subtitles in English) will be available for streaming starting at 9 pm CET on the day of the official presentation of the film on the Lido and through September 22nd, 2020.
To view the versions from the territory of Italy (in the original language version with subtitles in Italian), you must pay for the € 19.90 pass on the website www.mymovies.it/biennalecinema/accredito-streaming/. The subscription gives you access to all the Web Theatre films. Each film will be broadcast at a precise time, simulating a traditional screening; later, the film will be available for another 5 days, until the end of the available streaming.
