Synopsis
Based on a true story, Pid pokati mai is a reflection on human life during the Covid-19 pandemic and, also, under the Emergency Decree. Pid pokati mai follows many characters from different scenarios who share the same awkward situation.
Director’s Statement
The way my government handled the Covid-19 situation consisted in enforcing an Emergency Decree which meant that the government would have more power. And instead of buying good vaccines, the government decided to buy more submarines and said there was no budget for vaccines. People tried to protest but, in many cases, they ended up in jail. So, the Emergency Decree is just another tool to silence people.
