Daina Ashbee (Nanaimo, British Columbia, 1990) is of Cree-Métis and Dutch background. Influenced by the talent of her father, a sculptor of masks, she moved to Vancouver for her studies and began her career as a performer with the Raven Spirit Dance Society. Now based in Montreal where she works as a performer, choreographer and set designer, Daina Ashbee is the artist-in-residence at the Agora de la Danse in Montreal through 2020.
