The encounters and conversations between the audience and the artists presented in Venice, an integral part of the programme in this second edition of the Biennale Danza directed by Marie Chouinard, are intended to foster direct communication with the spectators about the poetics, the practices and the intentions of the creators. These events, which will feature questions and answers about the performances in the programme, will bring out the many different facets of the creative personalities and aesthetics of the artists and their individual works. Sharing, proximity and commonly-held knowledge are essential objectives for a new vision of contemporary dance today, a vision that is not merely individual/individualistic but social, understood and honest with regards to its themes, the way it is done and how it is presented in the different spaces in which it takes place, in a dialogue between people, feelings, bodies and architecture.
The encounters and conversations are curated by Elisa Guzzo Vaccarino.
