Andrea Peña (winner of the Biennale Danza 2023 callout for a new international choreographic creation)
All levels

The choreographic workshop proposes a vigorous and intimate process that challenges participating collaborators conceptually, physically, and personally and invites them to a collective questioning of political and philosophical ideals as the starting points for the creative process. The execution challenges each artist towards an embodiment and deconstruction of unusual states — . What is described as states — we question how they are internalized and externalized in coexistence with each other, with the aim to arrive at a physical language that is rhythmical, transparent, dynamic, virtuosic and vulnerable.

In face of the kaleidoscopic paths on which one’s body could be explored, TAO Dance Theater discloses the meaning of the value over the ‘core’ of life, through repeated and accumulating active forces. This workshop is a ceaseless direction of practice, and it keeps fermenting in various stages of ‘storing-up’.

Luna Cenere (winner of the Biennale Danza 2023 callout for a new Italian choreographic creation)
All levels

For Luna Cenere the essence of a performative act is kept in the unsaid and must be sought beyond what is visible,  into  a space made of memories, symbols, gestures and images as a  collectively shared knowledge. In this path Luna Cenere proposes the sharing of thoughts and practices that she carries out in her artistic and choreographic research. The physical indications are based on listening to the body and the genesis of simple and functional movements with which to enter into a relationship with space and the other than oneself.
