Two projects, dedicated to new choreographies, will be selected among the 361 applicants and will premiere as part of the Biennale Danza 2025.

The new choreographies will premiere on the stage of Biennale Danza 2025. Deadline for applications: 20 October 2024.

The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement goes to Italian dancer and choreographer Cristina Caprioli. The American dancer and choreographer Trajal Harrell will receive the Silver Lion.

From 18 July to 3 August, the 18th International Festival of Contemporary Dance presents 160 artists and 80 events – shows, performances, installations, workshops and panels – most of which are premieres (7 world premieres, 2 European, 12 Italian).

The decision was made by the Board of Directors, chaired by Pietrangelo Buttafuoco, for the years 2025 and 2026.

A series of workshops open to the public and aimed at dancers with various levels of experience: from 19 July to 3 August at Sale d’Armi (Arsenale) and Teatro del Parco (Mestre – Bissuola).
