GEORG VOGEL - CLAVITON SOLO

This programme unifies the three main solo repertoires written by Georg Vogel for the electric clavi- chord E-Claviton A159, with a 31-tone split sharps keyboard over five octaves. This new instrument, built by Vogel himself, empowers never before heard tonic and tonal possibilities, and makes it possible to bring together the mentioned different spaces. There are all the pieces especially written for the expanded tonality of all 31 enharmonic pitches, following four main paths. All the pieces of this programme developed out of a specific enharmntuplet approach that brings together the 31-tone enharmonic space with additive and entuplet rhythms. All elaborated enharmntuplet techniques then create the basis upon which music-cultural symbols of diverse origin can be renegotiated afresh.
