The project, presented by SENSORY ETHNOGRAPHY LABORATORY (S.E.L.) – Verena Paravel and Lucien Castaing-Taylor – at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, consists of an audio-visual architectural installation that addresses this year’s theme of the Biennale Architettura How will we live together? through the voices of intellectuals, activists and artists. The ecological, climate and political crisis afflicting the contemporary world is the starting point to imagine how we might live and die together, both peacefully and violently, among ourselves and with other species.
The screening of the video project will be followed by a discussion between the curator Hashim Sarkis and the philosopher Emanuele Coccia.
The Meetings on Architecture Expanded Programme of the Biennale Architettura 2021 aims to foster a debate around the primary themes addressed by the Biennale in live-streamed meetings, organized in collaboration with other Entities and Institutions as well.
The meetings on August 26th and 27thare open to the public free of charge, with reservation required while seats last. At the entrance, body temperature will be measured and must be no greater than 37.5°C to allow admission. Each visitor must present an EU Covid Certificate (Green Pass) or equivalent certificate that proves: complete vaccination, administration of the first dose of the vaccine (in the case that the vaccine requires two doses), complete recovery from Covid, or a negative result from a PCR or rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours before the visit. Visitors must present a valid ID together with the certificate.
If only the first dose of the vaccine has been administered, the Certification to this effect is issued after 14 days and is valid until the vaccination cycle is completed.
