The Return of Tragedy

Two police officers interrupt a secret ceremony: a woman is disembowelled in a back garden to unleash her inner beauty. A variety of situations are offered, and all possibilities explored.

Through its production process and its economy, this film is a tribute to the New York underground cinema of the 80s. The structure, which is based on the idea of rebirth, eternity and the many permutations that result, allowed me and the actors to create a game of “performing facets”. Finally, the visceral idea of an unleashed inner beauty taking the form of a raw organic emission gave me the opportunity to marry gore with glam.
