Description
Deviate is a world by TOTC, a resident DJ of the Beat Syndicate (https://beatsyndicatevr.com/) and Psyapple (https://psy-apple.club/) music event communities. Beat Syndicate is a collection of world creators, DJs, and digital artists from around the world. Psyapple is a primarily Japanese community focusing on psytrance events both in the virtual world and the real world.
While there are many beautiful, realistic music venues that mimic a real-life club or festival grounds in VRChat, Deviate's design philosophy is to do the opposite. VR's unlimited potential is not bound by physics, but imagination. When TOTC is asked about the design process, his common answer is "scribble until it looks good". Some of the visuals are hand drawn with OpenBrush while others are geometric experiments.
