Description

Polysemous and polymorphous, Sasha Waltz is one of the great figures in contemporary European dance. The Impromptus to the Lieder by Schubert is a conversation between dance and music that restructures body and space. The sobriety of the black, white, sand, ochre and earth-coloured costumes; the arduous multi-level space where the obstacles become resources; the personality of the performers-cocreators; the presence of the singer, also choreographed: all the elements come together to gloriously bring to life these musical performances, which should be received with the intelligence of the listening experience and through the dynamics of sight.
