Two projects, dedicated to new choreographies, will be selected among the 361 applicants and will premiere as part of the Biennale Danza 2025.
The 18th International Festival of Contemporary Dance ran from 18 July to 3 August 2024, directed by Wayne McGregor. The programme featured daily events with soloists and international companies as well as the activities of the Biennale College Danza dedicated to specific training projects that were included in the Festival’s programme.
Unwrapping the complexity, contradictions and mystery that is human life is a career pre-occupation for the movement creatives invited this year: all the artists and companies adopt the medium of dance as a philosophical act of communication – testing the fundamentals of our knowledge, challenging our notions of reality, and extending the understanding of our existence.
