On Friday 9 May, at 2 pm, the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale will host THE VALUE OF THE EXISTING, an inspiring conversation organised by Rolex, Partner and Official Timepiece of the Biennale Architettura 2025, between the 2021 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate Anne Lacaton and Arine Aprahamian.
The talk, moderated by British architect, curator and writer Joseph Grima, highlights the research project in Beirut by Lebanese-Armenian architect Arine Aprahamian, who was mentored by Anne Lacaton through #Rolex over the past two years. In addition to discussing the impact of the mentorship and their approach to architecture, Aprahamian and Lacaton will present Bourj Hammoud: The Value of the Existing, a documentary exploring how small and targeted interventions are the right strategy to improve daily life in Bourj Hammoud, a dense neighbourhood of the Lebanese capital.
Admission is free and open until capacity is reached.
