Marco D’Agostin - Avalanche
Description
In times of emergency, war, disease and wreckage, an avalanche of fears looms over human beings who are more sensitive to the disasters that leave us stunned and speechless, whatever language we speak, within the massification of globalism, charged with fear and anxiety, injustice and threats. The present time is filled with unknowns, with voids in which we find ourselves reflected and must rebel against. Following the nuclear, terrorist and social Apocalypse, are European thirty-year-olds the champions of a dead class, which can no longer even feel desperation? Everything is broken; is bewilderment the key to understanding the world? Where can we find the strength to resist, wearing work-suits when there is no work? The avalanche is the engine of memory and poetry.
Marco D’Agostin
“Choreography as a dispositif of memory; a place of recognition, invention or discovery of a past. Dance is a means to make emotivity explode: that of the dancer and that of the spectator, constantly engaged by the dance that is taking place in front of him. The body as a territory traversed not only by memories, not only by tremors, but by sound as well: a geography in which the senses and the meanings – of the words and movements – collide to generate friction”.
