The Symposium titled How Will We Play Together? investigates the role of sports in the configuration of the physical spaces in which nations meet, as exemplified in the urban projects and architectural works which hosted the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and will host the FIFA World Cup Qatar in Doha in 2022.

Each session will be introduced by Hashim Sarkis.

A single registration is valid for all three sessions.

The Symposium

The Symposium How Will We Play Together? has been organized within the context of Sport Platform, the installation at the Central Pavilion of the Giardini that focuses on the architectural works and projects for the two mega-sporting events in 2021 and 2022, and of the 17th Exhibition section dedicated to How Will We Play Together? at Forte Marghera.

HOW TO ATTEND

The Meetings on Architecture Expanded Programme of the Biennale Architettura 2021 aims to foster a debate around the primary themes addressed by the Biennale in live-streamed meetings, organized in collaboration with other Entities and Institutions as well.

The meetings on August 26th and 27thare open to the public free of charge, with reservation required while seats last. At the entrance, body temperature will be measured and must be no greater than 37.5°C to allow admission. Each visitor must present an EU Covid Certificate (Green Pass) or equivalent certificate that proves: complete vaccination, administration of the first dose of the vaccine (in the case that the vaccine requires two doses), complete recovery from Covid, or a negative result from a PCR or rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours before the visit. Visitors must present a valid ID together with the certificate.

If only the first dose of the vaccine has been administered, the Certification to this effect is issued after 14 days and is valid until the vaccination cycle is completed.
