Frankie Casillo, an Italian photographer based in Berlin, has a long history as a photographer for sound, working with important European electronics festival and the major events in Berlin dedicated to electronic music, such as Atonal and the CTM Festival.
With his extensive experience as a hunter of shadows and lights in great post-industrial spaces, in the hangars and warehouses of Berlin that have come back to life as musical spaces, he has borne witness in his series dedicated to Micro-Music to the sonic experience articulated across the richness and diversity of the musical, industrial, military and religious spaces of historic and contemporary Venice, painting analogical and material images that express the awe, the joy, the curiosity and the experience of listening to electronic sound of a varied, focused, engaged and enthusiastic audience.
